The wenglor triangulation sensors use a fine red-laser beam combined with a high-resolution CMOS line to determine distance by measuring the reflected beam’s angle — the triangulation principle — yielding precise, contactless distance measurement.
Thanks to integrated “TripleA” technology, these sensors provide high precision, stability over temperature changes, and performance independent of object material, color, brightness or surface structure — ideal when measuring diverse objects without calibration for each material.
Typical optical performance (for P3PC312) includes working / measuring range 60 … 660 mm, reproducibility of max 550 µm, with 1-sigma reproducibility around 30 µm, and linearity deviation up to 900 µm.
