The K-Helicopter is a domestically designed and built four-seat civilian helicopter—the first in Korea to use a composite sandwich airframe and an automobile gasoline rotary engine instead of traditional aviation turbines. It delivers solid performance: speeds up to 200 km/h, a range of 550 km, and a maximum takeoff weight of 1,360 kg. Fueling is simplified and cost-effective thanks to standard 95-octane gasoline. Hansung S&I has also created the K-Helicopter Trainer, a static training module for safely practicing hover and emergency maneuvers under controlled conditions.
