The K808 / K806 WAV (White Tiger series) by Hyundai Rotem delivers a versatile, modular family of wheeled armored vehicles. The K808 (8×8) is optimized for front-line recon and combat, featuring full amphibious capability and water speed of 8 km/h, while the K806 (6×6) is built for rear-area security, logistics, and convoy protection. Both vehicles weigh approximately 20 t and 16 t respectively, powered by Hyundai V6 diesel engines (420 hp for K808, 400 hp for K806), and can reach speeds up to 100 km/h with operational ranges up to 800 km. They employ advanced hydropneumatic suspension, CTIS, run-flat tires, and provide ballistic protection via ceramic/polymer composite armor, with options for additional armor. Configurable for roles such as APC, armored combat vehicle with turrets, mobile gun system, command post, or mortar carrier, they enhance operational flexibility. The K808’s amphibious capability allows rapid mobility through waterways and hazardous terrain—crucial in riverine or mountainous combat zones. More than 500 units have been delivered to the South Korean Army, with exports underway to countries like Peru.
