The Hokuyo MBX‑211 is a microwave‑based close‑crane warning sensor designed to prevent collisions between overhead traveling cranes. By installing two transmitter/receiver units opposite each other, the system detects when crane detection zones overlap and automatically issues a warning signal. This non‑contact microwave method ensures stable performance even in dusty, steamy, or visually obstructed industrial environments.
With a geometrical setting system, the MBX‑211 achieves high detection accuracy, while its 5‑step coarse and 10 dB fine adjusters allow precise tuning of detection sensitivity. Built‑in indicators monitor power, operation, and trouble states, and the system automatically triggers a trouble output if reception levels fall below one‑quarter for approximately 10 seconds.
Engineered for heavy‑industry environments, the MBX‑211 withstands significant vibration and offers reliable long‑distance detection. For outdoor installations, a rain‑proof cover is recommended to prevent false trouble outputs during severe weather.
