The S17268 series is surface mount type Si APD with high sensitivity in the short wavelength range. While maintaining performance equivalent to conventional TO-18 package products, it achieves more compact size and lower cost. With a high quantum efficiency of 82 % at 450 nm, it also enables low-noise and low-bias operation. With a compact size of 1.8 × 2.0 × 0.9 mm, it is suitable for integration into space-constrained devices such as optical rangefinders, industrial LiDAR, and flow cytometers. Two types with different photosensitive areas are available.
