The KF-21 Boramae (formerly KF-X) is South Korea’s indigenous 4.5 generation multirole fighter developed by KAI in partnership with defense agencies. First flown in July 2022, the aircraft features semi-stealth design, AESA radar, and plans for internal weapons bays in future variants. It’s expected to enter service around 2026 with Block 1 focusing on air-to-air roles and Block 2 adding air-to-ground capability.
