F2 is a dedicated program for 2D forging simulation, developed with the core features of DEFORM-2D in mind. It is configured to be very easy to use for users who are inexperienced in simulation. The simulation type can be axially symmetrical and planar strain.
The intuitive interface allows users to perform interpretations quickly and easily.
Two-dimensional analysis is possible with plane deformation and axial symmetry conditions.
It can predict the flow of materials, filling, molding loads, mold stresses, and the occurrence of defects in cold, warm, and hot processes. The available material types include rigidized materials for cold/warm/hot molding, and elastomers and rigid bodies for mold stress analysis. The press settings for the molding process include speed, hydraulics, hammers, screws, and mechanical presses.
Since an optimized grid is automatically generated during analysis, it is very easy to perform large deformation analysis.
The powerful post-processing machine can track the location of deformation, state variables, loads and flows, and predict the disconnect line. It enables highly efficient one-step mold stress analysis, including the use of reinforcing rings.
