The HR 500 GT is Gühring’s high-performance solution for large-diameter reaming tasks (diameters above 40.0 mm up to 76.2 mm). Available as carbide- or cermet-tipped variants and tailored with material-specific coatings (nanoA, nano‑Si/Signum, Carbo), it ensures optimum surface finish and precision across stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium, and special alloys. A standout feature is its patent-pending coolant-redirecting screw at the tool head’s face—delivering coolant directly to the cutting edges while preventing chip blockages. Its low-profile design allows reaming blind holes directly to their base, and the screw can be removed when needed.
