The K1 Series is a family of South Korean main battle tanks developed since the 1980s. The original K1 is armed with a 105mm gun; K1A1/A2 upgraded to 120mm guns, improved armor (KSAP), enhanced fire control, and powertrain; and K1E1 is the modernization of earlier variants. Speeds up to ~65 km/h, range ~500 km. Built by Hyundai Rotem, these tanks are designed for durability, protection, mobility, and strong firepower in varied terrain.
